About Us...
Capital City Classics is made up of professional musicians who currently perform in Connecticut’s finest musical ensembles. Our wide range of performance experiences range from the Hartford Symphony Orchestra to backing up world famous pop and Broadway stars. We also have over ten years experience performing at and planning the music for numerous private events.
We perform in a variety of ensembles to suit your needs.
The String Quartet is made up of two violins, a viola, and a cello.
This ensemble provides a beautiful, lush sound perfect for any event. The string quartet has a wide repertoire from Bach and Pachelbel to Ragtime by Scott Joplin and popular show tunes. This is a very popular group for weddings and parties of all sizes.
Two violins and a cello make up our String Trio which provides a beautiful, intimate sound to create a wonderful atmosphere. The repertoire is filled with everything from elegant classical music to favorites from Broadway.
The String Duo is performed by a violinist and a cellist. Although this ensemble has a more limited repertoire, the duo can perform much of the classical repertoire and has a beautiful and very intimate sound. The string duo is not recommended for outdoor events.
Other instruments (flute, trumpet, etc.) are available on request.
